About Golden Pines Senior Living

Golden Pines Senior Living is a family-owned assisted living company in the heart of Troy, Michigan. Founded on the principle of dignity and love, our mission is to provide compassionate and loving care for seniors. We found that care in the senior community was lacking a personal touch — in many of the larger facilities, our loved ones could get lost in a sea of other residents and staff. Getting the right help at the right time was a constant challenge for the families we knew. And the thought finally came to our founders that maybe, just maybe, we could be that spark of change our community needed.

We weren't going to be able to touch everyone, nor did we have the capacity to take in all those who needed us. But what we could do was make a real difference in the lives of the wonderful residents who chose to stay with us.

Golden Pines was born on a simple promise: that with love in our hearts, we could provide the kind of care we would give our very own parents — our very own mom and dad. Our residents become family, and we love and care for them as if they were our own, because to us they are.

A Different Kind of Senior Care

We are not a large institution, and we never set out to be one. Golden Pines runs two intimate residential homes rather than a sprawling complex, and that choice shapes everything we do. In a small home, caregivers know every resident by name — their routines, their preferences, the foods they love, the stories they like to tell. Care happens at the pace of a household, not a hallway.

This model lets us offer all the services families expect from a larger facility, delivered in the warmth and quiet of an actual home. It's assisted living without the feeling of being processed, and it's the difference families notice the moment they walk through our door.

Caring Through Every Season

When a resident joins Golden Pines, our intention is for it to be their home for the long term. We walk with families through every stage, and when the time comes, we coordinate closely with hospice providers so residents can remain in familiar surroundings, comforted by people who know and love them. Caring for someone through the end of life is among the most sacred things we do, and we consider it a privilege, not a burden.

While both of our homes sit in Troy, families come to us from across Oakland County and the surrounding region — including Rochester Hills, Sterling Heights, Birmingham, Royal Oak, Clawson, and the broader metro Detroit area.
